My custom design business in Dubai was a creative playground

Local and international clients had a thirst for original and unique art. Adoring palaces, hotels, nightclubs and private villas affording me fantastic opportunities to explore and express a lot of ideas in different mediums.

Rapid prototyping transitioned me through the design, development and completion phases with Interior Designers, Architects and Specifiers and individual clients on a variety of projects.

It was really fun

Here are a few pics

Light and Water Sculpture

This artwork created a lovely engaging ball of luminous light. The proprietor wanted to entice people out to this deck during the cooler months.

This artwork is a large scale light and water sculpture. The 2 front facades had a cascading wall of water in continuous rotation.

Private Client

They were produced and showcased at the Shanghai International Furniture Fair.

Private Villa, Dubai UAE
Mural, Artwork and Translucent Screens

Here the architect wanted a story of water. This was reflected with a handpainted casutic painted mural that spanned the entire length of the pools coffet.

We also created a 40 panel acrylic and resin artwork, each an interpretation of light traversing water.

The caustic pattern was also printed onto a translucent graphic to cover the sliding glass doors.

Private Villa in Emirates Hills, Dubai UAE
Handpainted 8m Dome

This massive dome adorned the entry foyer in our clients private villa. Glazed silver leaf caught the light, drawing the eye upwards and encompassing the space.

Specialized Italian metallic painting effects and hand made glazes were used in creating this piece. It is beautiful with both the lights on and off.

Glass Sculpture Screens with Silverleafed Edging.

The interior designer had a vision for an entry focal point.

This sculpture rhythmically stacked, spaced and suspended glass panels from floor to ceiling, catching the light and setting the luxurious tone of the room.

We developed a proprietary solution for silver leafing on to glass for this project.
